That one gets me too. When I was a kid going to the rec, that chlorine smell hit you before you even got through the door. Add sunscreen and wet towels and you were officially there.

Chlorine and sunscreen. The second I smell that combination, I’m back at the neighborhood pool in the middle of July with wet towels everywhere, somebody yelling “no running,” and a bag of chips that somehow tasted better after swimming all afternoon. Summer had a very specific smell when I was a kid.
