Every company keeps telling us they’re making things “easier

Every company keeps telling us they’re making things “easier.” Then they make you download an app, create an account, verify your email, enter a code they texted you, agree to 14 pages of terms, and reset the password you apparently created three years ago. At this point, I’d settle for things being slightly harder and actually working.

Every company wants recurring revenue now. Software, television, cars, even features that used to just come with something you bought. At some point consumers are going to hit subscription fatigue.
