Bedford City Council met on June 1, 2026, with several routine items approved, including prior meeting minutes and yearly assessments related to garbage/refuse collection and street lighting. Council also moved forward with the 2026 Tax Budget process, with a public hearing scheduled before final approval.

A major topic was the HIKMA Pharmaceuticals project in Bedford. Council approved the Board of Zoning and Appeals decision allowing HIKMA to build a new warehouse on Northfield Road. City officials spoke positively about the project, noting that it represents a major investment in Bedford and could bring hundreds of jobs to the area.

Council also discussed updates around the city, including Memorial Day events, pool improvements, upcoming 250th anniversary activities, street work, potholes, downtown crosswalk work, and the July Rib Fest planned for July 17–19.
